Session Title: Live! Open Space Radio and GovLove Podcast: Sustainability and Environmental Resilience in Parks
Description: Preparing for and mitigating the local effects of climate change will be a concerted focus of local governments across the country in the coming years. Park and recreation agencies are no different and are on the frontlines of managing the impacts of climate change. NRPA recently offered a 16-week immersive program for park and recreation professionals interested in equitable environmental resilience and how agencies can implement community-driven sustainability practices at parks. In this session, recorded live for the Open Space Radio and GovLove Podcast audiences, we’ll discuss resiliency strategies, how park and recreation agencies are planning for the impacts of ever-changing environmental circumstances, and how you can make a difference in your community.
