Session Title: Proven Best Practices: Implementing Racquet and Paddle Sports Throughout Diverse Community Settings

Description: Throughout the nation, racket and paddle sports have seen unprecedented growth during the last three years. As a result of the growth trend with these sports, many challenges have been experienced by park and recreation agency professionals in keeping up with the high demand for court facilities and program services to accommodate the ever growing number of participants. This interactive session will feature park and recreation agency executive leaders who have identified and implemented “proven best practices,” in answering the demand throughout diverse settings for more racquet and paddle court facilities and services. The panelists will line out step-by-step agency proven strategies and national assessment evaluation tools (i.e., USTA Park Agency Tennis Assessment Tool) plus others used to effectively allocate department resources in an effort to build efficient and long-term sustainable facilities and program opportunities for their local communities.
