Session Title: Connecting People to Parks: Building a Marketing Ambassador Program That Makes an Impact
Description: In today’s digital age, where people are inundated with content, developing an in-person outreach strategy is tantamount to successfully engaging your community and making them feel seen. Outreach can initially feel overwhelming, but it can be easier and more effective through communication technology, geotargeting, material organization and an efficient workflow. This session will help lay the foundation for building a scalable marketing ambassador program and inspire creative, data-driven outreach strategies that will enable participants to forge even more meaningful connections with the public. The session will adopt an interactive format, including a presentation, a live demonstration of systems, technological tools, and marketing materials, and a question and answer session. Attendees will engage with presenters, share their wins and challenges, and amass valuable resources to transform their approach to community engagement. This session is ideal for marketing professionals looking to optimize their community engagement strategy but can also be helpful to any park and recreation professional tasked with performing in-person outreach as part of their job duties.
