Assistant Division Chief | Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission

Anica is the Assistant Division Chief in the Southern Recreation and Leisure Division for M-NCPPC, with over 20 years of experience in Parks and Recreation management in Prince George's County. She oversees the 75,000-square-foot Southern Area Aquatics and Recreation Complex (SAARC), the department’s flagship multi-generational facility, three community centers, as well as two units focused on afterschool and summer programs and youth, teens, and young adults.

Anica has led several major initiatives as Co-chair of the Innovate Parks and Recreation Taskforce, driving new departmental strategies. She also serves as Sponsor for the Department's HBCU Experience, which has connected hundreds of youth to historically Black colleges and universities.

Anica is a Certified Events Associate and is a proud alumna of North Carolina Central University. She has a passion for education, leadership and is dedicated to community development and service.
