Chief Partnerships Officer | NRPA
Kellie May is Chief Partnerships Officer at the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA). In her role, Ms. May oversees the strategic direction of NRPA’s philanthropic programs and initiatives, including expanding strategic partnerships across NRPA’s pillar areas of equity, environmental resilience, and health and well-being. She cultivates new relations with corporate, foundation and federal government donors and NGO partners aligned with NRPA’s values. Ms. May provides and contributes to strategic thought leadership as a member of the executive leadership team around key organization priorities.
Previously, she served as NRPA’s Director of Health and Wellness and has a demonstrated background in helping local park and recreation agencies implement strategies to improve healthy eating and increase physical activity. Ms. May has been with NRPA for over fourteen years and works to ensure everyone has access to quality parks and recreation. Prior to joining NRPA, Ms. May worked at SHAPE America, previously the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance where she worked to increase physical activity for young children. Ms. May has more than fifteen years of experience managing programs and donor relations and has a master’s degree from George Washington University.
