Born and raised in Albany, Georgia, I come from a family that values education and community service. I received my early education in the Dougherty County School System, after graduating from Westover High School, where I was actively involved in various clubs and activities, I pursued higher education at Albany State University, Georgia Southwestern University, Georgia College and State University, and earned an Educational Specialist Degree from Troy State University.

With a 43-year career in the Dougherty County School System, I have served in multiple roles, including teaching, coaching, and administration, with positive recognition at each level. My commitment to community service is reflected in my involvement with Saint John-Saint Mark Episcopal Church and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Delta Eta Omega Chapter.
I am married to Marvin L. Griffin, and we have a son, Reginald. Our daughter-in-law, Victoria, further blesses our family, and two cherished grandchildren, Lauryn and Joshua.
