Justin Cutler is the commissioner of parks and recreation for the City of Atlanta with more than 20 years of experience in local government and parks and recreation. He has built organizational cultures focused on continuous improvement and innovation. Commissioner Cutler has worked tirelessly to connect the dots between health care and local parks and recreation through the implementation of evidence-based chronic disease management programs to improve health outcomes for communities. Prior to his tenure in Atlanta, he served in Seattle, Washington; Westminster, Colorado; and across Oregon. He has been involved with professional associations serving on several boards, commissions and volunteer groups, including GPRED (a park and recreation think tank) Colorado Parks and Recreation Association and the Oregon Recreation and Parks Association. He has presented at numerous state and national conferences on youth program evaluation, customer service, continuous improvement and chronic disease program integration.
