Brooke Haley is the community recreation, junior sailor and entertainment program manager for Commander, Navy Installation Command, Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) in Washington. D.C. This includes the oversight of outdoor recreation, leisure travel, parks and greenspace, liberty (Junior Sailor Programs), esports, fleet readiness programs and live entertainment across the Navy enterprise. She has an extensive background with quality of life, recreation programs and revenue-generating business operations around the world and has held progressive strategic leadership positions within multiple branches of Service. Prior to her work in federal service, she worked in University Athletic Development and Fundraising and Marketing. She graduated from Arkansas State University (B.S. in sports management) and from Western Kentucky University (M.S. in athletic administration and coaching). In her free time, she enjoys triathlon, cycling and curling. She is also a Special Olympics Maryland Unified partner and coach. Her passion is with helping neurodivergent athletes succeed in sports and advocating for more inclusive, formalized sporting opportunities for athletes with intellectual disabilities.
