Shawn Hara was born and raised in the East Texas town of Longview, where he has worked in various roles for the City for 21 years. He currently helps provide leadership support for Visit Longview, Longview Main Street, Longview Convention Complex, Longview Public Library and Media Development. He enjoys finding ways to highlight and enhance underutilized community and natural resources. His love for collaboration, outdoors and kayaking led to the regional effort to create paddle trails on the rarely floated Sabine River.
