Michelle Villafranca is a park operations and natural resource planner for the City of Fort Worth, where she reviews plans, makes policy recommendations, and advises and implements natural resource management planning. Previously, she was a natural resource specialist for the Fort Worth Nature Center and Refuge where she managed the Restoration Greenhouse and Seed Collection Program. She coordinated public outreach and volunteer events, as well as implemented fire effects monitoring for the prescribed burn program. Villafranca started with the City of Fort Worth as a forester where she organized community tree-planting events and volunteer projects. Before the city, she worked as a field biologist and wildland firefighter for various conservation and land management agencies in Texas and beyond. Villafranca currently serves on the board of Native Prairies Association of Texas.
