Karen Ranney Wolkins currently serves as the commissioner of parks and recreation for the City of Toledo, Ohio. A marketer and communicator by trade, Karen has deployed those skills in several industries over the last 40 years, including but not limited to advertising, healthcare and the arts. For the last 13 years, she has focused on serving as an advocate for social justice and connecting people to nature and healthy lifestyles through public parks and gardens.
