Currently serving as the president of the Alabama Recreation and Parks Foundation BOD, Ms. McCreery has more than 45 years of experience in the park and recreation field, working in both the private and public sectors. After completing an undergraduate degree from Auburn University and a master's degree from the University of Georgia, she worked in outdoor recreation management with the YWCO before beginning a 38-year career with the City of Montgomery, Alabama, Parks and Recreation Department, retiring as the director of the department in 2022. She has chaired numerous committees in the recreation field on both the state and national levels, as well as with the Alabama Recreation and Parks Association. She has been recognized for her service in the field with both the Jim Spain Professional of the Year and Lifetime Achievement Awards from ARPA.
