Veronica Taylor serves as the Superintendent of the Division of Parks and Recreation for the City of Plainfield. In addition to developing and administering the budgets for Recreation and the Municipal Alliance Superintendent Taylor’s responsibilities include maintenance and programming of 133 acres of parkland and five miles of walking trails, maintenance and operations of six municipal pools, two community gardens and a fruit tree orchard. She holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration (MPA) from Rutgers University, and a Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in Health, Physical Education and Sports Studies from Douglass College. One of her proudest achievements was working on a successful ballot measure to establish a Municipal Open Space Recreation Trust Fund to acquire, develop, and maintain land for preservation as public recreation space.
