Austin Barrett is a Senior Evaluation Manager with the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA). Austin works to quantify the impact of NRPA-facilitated grants and develops resources to help park and recreation professionals grow their skills in making data-informed decisions. Previously, he was a Data Analyst and System Administrator working to address homelessness in South Carolina and completed his Ph.D. in Recreation, Park, and Tourism Management at The Pennsylvania State University. Austin’s additional professional experience includes working as a Ranger with the National Park Service and U.S. Forest Service.
