Gabby Vera is the Westside - Regional Park Superintendent for Maricopa County’s Parks and Recreation Department, one of the largest regional park systems in the United States. Maricopa County’s regional park system is made up of over 120,000-acres of pristine Sonoran Desert landscape.

Gabby oversees over 70,000 acres of land that includes two mountain parks: Estrella Mountain Regional Park, White Tank Mountain Regional Park, as well as Lake Pleasant Regional Park and the Hassayampa River Preserve.

She has more than 15 years of parks and recreation experience, which includes local and county government. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and is a Certified Parks and Recreation Professional thru the National Recreation and Parks Association.

Gabby is extremely passionate about parks and recreation and believes in the importance of connecting people to parks and inspiring the next generation of parks and recreation professionals.
