Over 20 years of experience in The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission, Parks and Recreation in Prince Georges County. Held different positions such as, Program Specialist, Facility Director, Recreation Specialist, Regional Manager, Area Specialist and Acting Program Superintendent. He has presented a several National Recreation Park Association Congress on Latino programming. Worked closely with Latino community members, non-profit organizations and stakeholders to bring innovative programming to the underserved communities. A 24-year Army veteran that have volunteered with the Army Youth Services at different Army bases and experienced Basketball coach. Currently overseeing Unit 1, Xtreme Teen year-round programming, summer Teen Playgrounds and Safe Summer programs for Northern Recreation and Leisure Services Division in Prince George's County, Maryland. Mr. Ocasio has over 15 years’ experience in Instructional Training to include training for over 500 summer staff. Served as a member of the Commission Diversity Council.
