Kinda M. Mines is a Planner with Fairfax County Park Authority's Planning & Development Division. She is a member of their Long-Range Planning Team where she is responsible for participating in long range planning projects for county parks and reviewing development applications for the Park Authority. Prior to joining the Fairfax County Park Authority, she served as Management Analyst for Health and Human Service agencies in Fairfax County. As a Management Analyst she facilitated trainings and discussions on land development and its impact on communities across Fairfax County. Kinda's focus has been to support long term facility planning efforts by analyzing and using data related to vulnerable populations to inform design review; plan amendment and zoning application review; and providing comments for development applications from a human services perspective. She strives to improve planning to build better, more equitable, and healthier communities for all residents. Kinda has a bachelor's degree in business administration from North Carolina Central University in Durham, NC.
