Hunter Rush is the Senior Planner and Partner at MHS Planning & Design, llc located in Dallas, Texas. Hunter has been employed at MHS since 2008 and primarily focuses on developing Parks, Recreation & Open Space Master Plans for cities and counties throughout the State of Texas. He works closely with local governments to conduct meaningful focus group meetings, public input meetings, and Design Charrettes to better understand the needs of local citizens as well as stay up to date with local, statewide and national trends. Hunter utilizes collected citizen data to analyze community needs, provide recommendations and develop an implementable plan with funding opportunities. In addition, he works closely with landscape architects and engineers to design outdoor public spaces. Hunter has been an NRPA and TRAPS Member for nearly a decade and is an advocate for all things outdoors.
