Susan Mong serves as the Superintendent of Culture for Johnson County Park and Recreation District (JCPRD), providing leadership to this creative team which includes: The Johnson County Museum, Theatre in the Park, Fine and Performing Arts, Facility Rentals, and Public Art. Susan serves as a member of the leadership team for JCPRD, providing strategic direction for this CAPRA fully accredited agency. Prior to coming to JCPRD, Susan served as the Executive Director for the Johnson County Library Foundation, where she led a 24-member board in fundraising efforts to advance the library collection, cultural and literacy programs. She is originally from Omaha, Nebraska but has called Overland Park, Kansas home for the last 29 years. She holds a master’s degree in Public Administration and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Kansas. Susan earned her CPRE in 2022 and is currently serving as a CAPRA Review Team (CRT) volunteer. Susan and her husband Grant have been married 26 years and have 3 adult children, Molly, Mallory, and Dillon.
