Description:
Join us for this park management and maintenance discussion session designed to assist agency directors, park supervisors, managers and other leaders share information, discuss issues and address pressing concerns with other park professionals in the field. When it comes to park management and maintenance, park and recreation directors, managers and supervisors need to be on top of many different areas including maintenance planning; trail, tree and turf care; technology; labor force management; sustainability; design and long-term planning; and so much more. Gather with us for peer-to-peer learning and sharing.
The Park Management Roundtable is specifically designed for those who want to meet with their peers to share ideas and challenges, network, and learn together in a supportive environment. This Roundtable will feature a short informative presentation on a common issue followed by a facilitated discussion. Each session provides space to discuss topics, pressures, and dilemmas you may be facing as you work to manage and maintain the parks in your system. Last year's sessions were a hit as the participants found it very helpful to talk with and learn from others in similar positions.
Learning Objectives:
1. Connect with peers and discuss timely, sensitive issues.
2. Hear new perspectives and strategies from others' shared experiences.
3. Identify and discuss key shared topics in the field.
