Are you interested in learning more about the CAPRA accreditation process, how to get involved, and how to strengthen your knowledge and expertise regarding accreditation? If you answered “Yes” to any of these questions, then this is the session for you! Join us as we discuss the CAPRA Volunteer Program, the eligibility requirements and process for serving as a volunteer, training opportunities to prepare you for various volunteer roles, and the benefits for you as a park and recreation professional and for your agency as it pursues accreditation and/or reaccreditation.
Learning Objectives:
1. Attendees will improve their understanding of the application and training process for becoming a CAPRA volunteer.
2. Attendees will learn about the various volunteer opportunities that exist to support the CAPRA accreditation process.
3. Attendees will engage with the NRPA Accreditation Team and experienced CAPRA volunteers to learn more about the benefits of serving as an accreditation volunteer.

One-hour education sessions (0.1 CEU) will be delivered as either Talks, Sandboxes, or Clinics.
Clinics and Sandboxes will be smaller sessions and on a first-come, first-serve basis, so make sure to arrive early!
- Talks will be delivered as lectures or panel sessions.
- Clinics will focus on applying concepts to real-life examples through workshop activities.
- Sandboxes are a great networking opportunity that invite participants to talk shop, compare notes and swap advice around hot topics in the field.
Twenty of the one-hour education sessions will be available on-demand through the conference app while also delivered in person.
