In this session, attendees will explore their passions in life as a way to engage program participants and staff. Identifying professional passions will help create new possibilities within program development and staff commitment. These possibilities will focus on intrinsic motivation, cognitive behaviors and exposure to self-identities. Additionally, learners will practice using conversation protocols to manage tense talks that can derail a culture of inspiration. The concept is, in order for you to be a part of inspired program development, you must foster and maintain a culture of inspiration.
Learning Objectives:
1. Attendees should be able to use The LARA Method for Managing Tense Talks. LARA stands for Listen, Affirm, Respond and Ask Questions.
2. Attendees should be able to create a passion-sharing platform that incorporates a Stop, Start, Continue model which engages the staff to take ownership of what they want and provides leadership with a method of actually doing something about it if the wants are attainable.
3. Attendees should be able to use techniques to enhance staff commitment to program goals while centering equity by using the Open Org Model.
