Description:
Why invest in software? This session will show attendees the benefits of investing in software, including how much of a difference it makes when an agency always collects funds, how software allows for more scheduling to bring in more funds, and how a happy finance department and full revenue lead to improvements. Investing in software also helps to hold staff, customers and management accountable.
Know what truly matters when it comes to your specific needs. Talk to other departments and explore different software options until you find the right fit. Remember that unless it is custom software, you may need to make some changes to your policies and procedures. This isn’t a bad thing — just different. Even after you implement software, you still should be nosy and constantly communicate with other park and recreation departments. Sometimes other groups have amazing ideas for workflows in the software, use other third-party software that might help for niche reasons, or have new ways to bring in more revenue.
This session also will explore the benefits of continuing a positive relationship with the software company. Look for groups that feel successful because you are successful. They continue that personal relationship because they have invested.
Learning Objectives:
1. Money, Money, Money. Attendees will learn why they should invest in software.
2. Attendees will learn that it’s okay to be nosy and explore the benefits of utilizing all software options to elevate the needs of their department.
3. Attendees will familiarize themselves with the benefits of continuing a positive relationship with the software company.
