Description:
Does your team see you as a boss? Gender and racial bias can play a big role in how people perceive their bosses, which can lead to descriptions like bully or be-oss. In this session, we will discuss the challenges managers can have when perceptions are based on bias instead of facts or actual events. We will talk about effective management practices and share examples of negative encounters and positive experiences that lead to real results. Confidence, compassion and authenticity are the keys to becoming the respected and trusted leader you always wanted to be. We’ll show you how these keys can help you change the perception and become a real boss.
Learning Objectives:
1. Identify leadership strengths and challenges that originate from bias.
2. Confront their own biases when it comes to managers.
3. Establish a baseline for your current leadership style.
