Tina Mohn is the Natural Resource, Conservation and Asset Manager for the City of Columbus, the Recreation and Parks Dept. She is charged with bridging the gap with Strategic Planning, Design and Construction, Parks, Facilities and Community Recreation Sections, in an effort to facilitate decisions relative to acquisition of parkland, land management, natural resource/conservation master planning, conservation and ecosystems protection, nature preserves designation and management, sustainability and project management of aspects of park improvement projects, with respect to the natural systems within parks.
With over 18 years of professional experience, in with the department, Tina manages over 520 Recreation and Parks properties, over 415 parks/parkland and with the assistance of Planning and Park Maintenance, manages over 15,000 acres of parkland. With the support of staff, Tina oversees the Outdoor Education and Recreation Section of the department as well.
Tina is also involved with policy writing, agreement management, easements, acquisitions and strategic planning. Additionally, Tina leads the efforts with the Departments Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee, as well as the Signage and Naming Committee and the Nature Preserve Advisory Council representation for the department. Similarly, Tina is the Department lead for the City of Columbus Sustainability Team.

Tina has her BS in Life Science and Environmental Studies from Otterbein University and received her Masters in Environment and Natural Resources from the Ohio State University. Tina is a Certified Professional Wetland Scientist and has extensive training within the interaction between the natural and built environments, with sustainability as the guiding principal.
