Tanya Hedgepeth is the Park Planning Supervisor with The Maryland-National Capitol Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) in the Department of Parks and Recreation. Prior to working with M-NCPPC Department of Parks and Recreation she was a Community Development Officer in the Prince George’s County Department of Permitting Inspections and Enforcement (DPIE). Ms. Hedgepeth was also the Construction Outreach Coordinator with DC Water. In addition, Tanya was a Planner Coordinator in the Prince George’s County Planning Department of M-NCPPC. She relocated to the DC Metro area from the Atlanta area, where she worked as an Urban Planner in the public and private sector.

Ms. Hedgepeth has a certification in Land Development and Construction Management from Southern Polytechnic State University in Marietta, GA and holds a master’s degree in Urban Planning with a Specialization in Urban Management from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo. She also has a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Urban Studies from Canisius College in Buffalo, NY.
